Bali has somewhere north of 60 venues calling themselves beach clubs. Most of them are interchangeable: a pool, a DJ, a daybed, a bill that stings. This guide cuts the list to ten and tells you what each one costs, when to arrive, where the shot is, and what recent reviewers say once the Instagram filter comes off.
Sean has been going to Bali beach clubs for years, from backstage at the big DJ events to quiet weekday daybeds. He also has not drunk alcohol in two years and still goes, which matters: a good beach club should hold up for the setting, music and vibe, not just the cocktail list.
Pricing reality
Minimum spend usually means the seat is “free” but you commit to spending the amount on food and drink. Add 21% tax and service when prices are quoted “++”, and always check current tiers before booking.
Sunset creates a daily traffic event.
The Berawa strip, Seminyak beachfront and Uluwatu cliff run all choke from late afternoon. Pick clubs in your own region, arrive before 2pm, and pre-book the ride home.
Your phone is the realistic camera.
Major clubs check bags and often refuse professional bodies, big lenses, gimbals and drones unless permission is arranged beforehand. Every shot note here is phone-achievable.
