The Vibe
A genuine outlier. Komune sits in front of the Keramas right-hander, one of the best waves in Bali, on volcanic black sand with Mount Agung up the coast. It's been ranked among the top beach clubs in Asia, but it carries none of the south coast's velvet-rope energy. The crowd is surfers, families and people who drove out specifically to escape Canggu.
The Shot
This is the most photographically interesting club on the list. Black sand, a world-class wave breaking close to shore, and on floodlit nights, surfers under lights against a black ocean, which is a frame almost nobody outside Bali has in their portfolio. Sunrise here, not sunset: the east coast faces the dawn, and first light on Keramas with Agung in the haze is worth the early start.

Consistently warm. The food gets specific praise, the surf viewing is the headline, and the recurring theme is relief: reviewers describe riding out from the south, expecting another Finns, and finding a beach club that's actually about the beach. The honest counterpoint: it's quiet by south coast standards, and if you want DJs and a scene you'll find it sleepy.
Verdict
Seventh overall, first for anyone whose Bali is built around a camera or a surfboard. It's also the only club on this list where the journey itself is reliable, because the Ida Bagus Mantra bypass doesn't suffer south coast gridlock.
Region Note
East Bali pack, and a strong half-day add-on from the Sanur pack. This is the club that proves the region-first philosophy: nobody staying in Canggu should drive here for lunch, but from Sanur it's an easy run.
Sean's Take
Komune is the club I'd take family to, including very little ones, and that's the highest compliment in this category. When there's no surf event on, the whole vibe is properly chill: music at a level you can talk over, space to spread out, nobody performing for anybody. It's just a really nice place to hang out by a world-class wave.
