Quick Facts
- Where: Melasti Beach, Ungasan, at the base of the limestone cliffs
- Entry: Melasti Beach access fee of 10,000 IDR per person at the gate, then club minimum spend by seat type
- Hours: Daily, day through sunset
- Getting there: The clifftop road down to Melasti is one of the most dramatic approaches in Bali. 20 to 30 minutes from Uluwatu bases
The Vibe
Bohemian luxury on one of the most beautiful beaches in south Bali: white sand, turquoise water, cliff walls behind. Multiple pools, oceanfront cabanas, champagne service if you want it, but the underlying pricing stays reasonable for the category. It's the polished Melasti option, with The Warung Beach Club further along the sand as the barefoot budget alternative.
The Shot
The descent road. Shoot the switchbacks cutting through the limestone cliff on the way down, then the club's pools against the white sand and that unreal water colour. Midday actually works here because the turquoise needs high sun. The cliff gate at the southern end of the beach is the bonus frame.
What Recent Visitors Say
Reviewers consistently call it the best club on Melasti and rate it among the best value luxury experiences on the Bukit: artsy, classy, genuinely good food, and noticeably more affordable than the big-name cliff clubs. Couples and families both rate it. The main caveats are logistical: Melasti is exposed, shade fills up, and the beach itself gets busy with day trippers by mid afternoon.
Verdict
Sixth, and the smartest luxury-for-money play in the south. If Sundays at number 2 is booked out or over budget, this is the answer, and the beach is arguably just as photogenic.
Region Note
Uluwatu pack. Pairs naturally with the Bukit beach-hopping circuit: Balangan and Bingin in the morning, Melasti to finish. Doable from Nusa Dua too at around 30 minutes.
Sean's Take
Honesty first: this is the one ranked club I haven't properly visited yet. I've shot it from the air while heading to Palmilla next door, which is how I know how good that stretch of Melasti looks from above, but the entry above is built on research and reviews rather than my own daybed time. It's on the list for my next Bukit run, and this take gets rewritten the day after.
