The Vibe
One valley, four waterfalls, and the closest thing Bali has to a natural adventure park. The 35-metre twin cascade of Aling-Aling itself is the sacred showpiece you admire from a platform. Downstream the tone changes completely: a polished-rock natural slide at Kroya, then platform jumps at 5, 10 and roughly 15 metres for ascending levels of courage. It's loud, wet, communal fun, run by the village.
The Shot
The main fall framed wide in the jungle, ideally in soft morning mist. Then action: a fast shutter on someone mid-slide at Kroya, shot from the pool edge with the guide's blessing. Keep the camera in the dry bag between falls; everything here gets soaked.

Best timing+
Start early, especially if you are adding Kroya, Kembar and Pucuk. This area is a cluster, not a quick single-frame stop.
Where to shoot+
Shoot Aling-Aling itself as the powerful, high-volume main waterfall, then use the lower falls for swimming, waterslide and cliff-jump context.
Gear note+
Keep the main plunge pool out of your swim plan when flow is strong. Use weatherproof storage because you will likely move between multiple wet zones.
What Recent Visitors Say
Strongly positive, with a specific shape: families and groups call it a trip highlight, the guides get praised by name for safety and humour, and the jumps are described as genuinely thrilling. The entry packages get called expensive by Bali standards, but most reviewers concede the private guide, water and safety gear justify it. The repeated practical notes: around 150 steep steps each way, and the 15-metre jump is optional and should stay that way for most people.
Verdict
Ninth because it's an activity more than a photograph, and this guide leans photographic. But for the right group it's the most fun on this list, and it's the one entry where paying for the guide is unambiguously the correct call.
Region Note
North Bali, so it's a full day from Ubud and pairs naturally with Sekumpul at number 1, twenty minutes away. Do not attempt from Canggu or Seminyak as a casual day trip.
